Sometimes, no matter how old a girl is...she just needs her mommy. Just needs a mommy hug and a mommy laugh and the love that only a mommy can give. Because everyone else sucks.
Not really. But sometimes? REALLY.
Other things I need include:
1. A kick-ass girls' night with dirty martinis, high heels, dancing, laughing and no fucking crying.
2. A vacation. By myself. Two days of being completely alone. Preferably in a small Spanish town, discovering old churches and fantastic restaurants. But I will settle for two days in my apartment, watching Felicity.
3. Yoga.
4. Did I mention martinis? Yes? Well. Again. A dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives, please. And to have sophisticated cocktails like the 31 year old lady I am but with the hangover of a 21 year old.
5. To get my apartment in some sort of state that makes me not want to light a match. Which will entail me getting rid of half of what I own because this place is too small.
6. For people to stop asking when I'm getting engaged. And to stop asking My Dude when he's going to propose. Because the answer is...when it fucking happens and you're not helping.
That whole weekly writing thing is not going to work out. Because sometimes I just don't have anything to say.

yes. uh yes. and can we please add a twist to that dirty martini. because sometimes things get so bad that a girl just needs an extra dirty gray goose martini with a twist. love you meeks. wish i could have seen you more when we were both in LA, but the DAMN (WONDERFUL) baby got in the way. know that you are still in my heart and mind and our paths will cross again soon. mwah.
Heart you, my darling. So glad I got to at least see you ONCE while you were here. I'm determined to make it up north at some point and meet your little dude before he's driving.
